WHAT'S RADICOOL
What is RadiCool?
Radicool is a "radiative cooling material" that suppresses heat accumulation on the umbrella surface and increases reflectivity, while also radiating heat absorbed by the material to the outside.
It is based on the world's first patented technology, which allows it to lower the surface temperature of an object without using any electricity.
It has a mechanism that suppresses heat from sunlight and releases heat as infrared rays into space by utilizing a wavelength band called the "atmospheric window" that exists in Earth's atmosphere.
HC Series: Fabric Construction
The HC series features a sandwich structure with a Radicool functional layer between a water-repellent fabric and a light-blocking polyurethane coating. The water-repellent fabric on the surface maintains the original texture of the fabric while also providing a radiative cooling effect.

We irradiated a mannequin's head with artificial solar lighting and took a thermographic image after 30 minutes, with and without a RADICOOL parasol.
The temperatures and temperature differences in the thermographic images are measurements taken under the following conditions:

The heat-shielding, light-blocking, UV-cutting, and UPF values are measurements of the fabric itself. They do not represent the performance of the umbrella body. Additionally, these values do not apply to parts of the fabric that are not UV-treated, such as embroidery and seams. The heat-shielding effect may vary depending on the product's usage conditions, weather conditions, and other factors.
